Wendy R. Zipkin

Averill Park- Wendy R. Zipkin, 58, of Blue Heron Drive passed away suddenly after a short illness on Monday July 8, 2024 at the Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born in Troy, Wendy was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Cook Speth. Wendy was a lifelong resident of Averill Park and was a 1984 graduate of the Averill Park High School. Wendy had worked for area physician’s offices before presently working for the Averill Park School District in Food Service. She enjoyed gardening and vacations in Rhode Island.

Survivors include her daughters Nicolle (Jason) Peverly of Rensselaer, Heather (Tim Cusack) Zipkin of Averill Park, her son Michael Zipkin of Averill Park, her longtime companion James Roder of Averill Park, her brothers James Speth of Clifton Park and Richard Speth of Averill Park, her sister Marylou Girard of Arizona, step grandson Aiden Peverly and her feline companions Kora and Nora.

Relatives and friends are invited to call 10-12 noon on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park.
