Thomas R. May

Averill Park- Thomas R. May, 83, of Rabie Road passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 at the Samaritan Hospital after a long illness. Born and raised in Rensselaer, Tom was the son of the late Joseph A. and Elizabeth Schultz May and husband of Patricia Garcia May. Tom had resided in the Averill Park area for over 60 years. He had worked for various companies over the years thru the union last being General Electric in Coxsackie where he did insulation installing. Tom owned an MG for many years and was a member of the MGA Club, he enjoyed gardening and feeding his backyard birds.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his children Debbie (Jake) Green of Cohoes, Kim (Tim) Haberland of Greenwich and Thomas E. May of Averill Park, 7 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.

Tom was the brother of the late Jack May, BettyJane Frank and Rosemary O’Rourke.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call 10- 12 noon on Wednesday July 24, 2023 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park followed by a service at 12 noon. 

Burial will follow the service in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
