Thelma H. Schreiner

Poestenkill- Thelma H. Schreiner, 86, of Plank Road died on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at St. Peters Hospice Inn in Albany after a Short illness. Born in Petersburgh Thelma was the daughter of the late William F. and Grace D. Crandall Sharper and wife of the late Robert E. Schreiner. Thelma was raised in Petersburgh, was a graduate of the Hoosick Falls High School and moved to Poestenkill after her marriage in 1971. Prior to her marriage Thelma had worked for Dodge Industries in Hoosick Falls where she had been a secretary and she had also worked for a shoe factory in Hoosick Falls. After her marriage Thelma became a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and was a longtime member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Poestenkill.
Thelma was the mother of Kathleen (William) French of Sand Lake, grandmother of Kyle Dorr of Poestenkill, sister of Tracy (the late Mildred) Burdick of Berlin, Norma (the late Raymond) French of Poestenkill, the late William (Linda) Sharper and Paul (Annie) Brundige of Petersburgh, former mother in law of Keven (Stacey) Dorr and their daughter Rebekah of Poestenkill and also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call 4-7 p.m. Monday, January 29 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park.
A burial service for the family will be held at the Brookside Cemetery, Poestenkill.
