Shelly A. Smith

Stephentown- Shelly A. Smith, 56, of Horse Heaven Road, East Nassau, passed away suddenly at her residence on Friday, October 27, 2023. Born in Troy, Shelly was the daughter of Emery Maddocks of Poestenkill and the late Marlene Film Maddocks and the wife of Bruce B. Smith. Shelly grew up in Poestenkill attended the Averill Park Schools and had resided in Stephentown for 24 years. Shelly enjoyed animals of all types.

Survivors in addition to her father and husband include her daughters Cheryl Tafur of Utah and Olivia R. Smith of Stephentown, her sisters Gwendolyn Waters of Pittstown and Brenda Swankey of Poestenkill, her grandchildren Kiera Klipp, Arianna, Ella, and Hunter Tafur.

At Shelly’s request services will be private.
