Sand Lake- Sally L. Southard, 73, of Kipple Road passed away suddenly at the Rosewood Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in East Greenbush on Thursday, September 12, 2024.

Born in Cambridge, NY, Sally was the daughter of the late William Gritman and the late Bernice Conuel and the beloved wife of Bryan L. Southard. Sally was a 1969 graduate of the Pittsfield High School. Bryan and Sally met at the former Showboat in Lebanon and were married in 1970. Sally had resided in Sand Lake since. Sally was a homemaker and stay at home mom to her boys until working for the Averill Park School District where she was a Special Education Teacher’s Aide.

Sally was a member of the Zion’s UCC in Taborton and she enjoyed crafting, sewing and teaching her grandchildren and great grandchildren those arts.

Sally was the sister of the late Larry DiCicco.

Survivors in addition to her husband include her sons Bryan H. (Karen) Southard of Niverville, Scott M. (Tammy) Southard of Stephentown and Charles (Brian) Saville of Schenectady, her siblings Maxine, Karen, Brian, Dawn, Kathy, Jack and John, her grandchildren Scott Jr. (Cassandra), Joshua (Ashley), and her great grandchildren Haleigh, Lilly, Scott III “Mikey” along with several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call 4-7 pm on Wednesday September 18, 2024 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park.
