North Greenbush- Ronald P. Leavenworth Jr., 51, died at his home on Thursday May 29, 2014 surrounded by his family and friends. Ronnie was born in Troy the beloved son of Patricia (Gary) Charlton of Averill Park and the late Ronald P. Leavenworth Sr. Ronnie grew up in Poestenkill and was a graduate of Questar. He was a member of the Rensselaer Co. ARC Program. Ronnie had resided in Wynantskill for 15 years and had worked as a packer at the Hannaford Supermarket. Ron was a Dukes of Hazard Fan and loved anything orange. He was an independent, strong willed, determined and loving man who touched many lives. His feline companion Piglet predeceased Ronny. Ron’s family wishes to thank the ARC family for their love and support. Survivors in addition to his mother and stepfather include his sister Kelly (Rob) Bentz of Averill Park, his stepsisters Jamie and Lindsey Charlton of TN, his nephews Chase, Frank Jr., Avery and Mikey along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
