North Greenbush- Ronald J. Engel, 72, of Mallard Way, Wynantskill died on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at his residence after a long illness. Born in Albany, Ron was the son of the late Edward and Pauline Shaffer Engel and the longtime companion of the late Nancy Meyette Williams. Ron was a resident of North Greenbush for the past 35 years and had lived on Macha Lane for a number of years. Ron was self-employed and the owner of Ron’s Window Cleaning and Maintenance Service. Ron was a former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Albany and was a former member of the Albany Boys Club and had enjoyed weight-lifting and boxing. Ron was the brother of the late Jean Wilson, Shirley Ogren, Edward, John, Donald and Gerry Engel.
Survivors include his children Angela S. Vincent of Largo, FL; Michael J. Goodman of Ellenville, NY and Lance E. Williams of Hollywood, FL., his twin brother Robert Engel of Wynantskill his grandchildren Ashley Helleskov and McKaylah Vincent and his great grandson Wyatt Helleskov.
Funeral Sunday March 6, 2016, 4 p.m. at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the chapel on Sunday 1-4 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment Service on Monday 10 a.m. at the Elmwood Cemetery, Rte 150 West Sand Lake, NY.
