Averill Park- Paul S. Roe, 73, a longtime resident of Burden Lake died on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Lutheran Health Care Center in Delmar after a long illness. Born, raised and educated in Catskill, Paul was the son of the late Sherwood and Margaret Hamm Roe. Paul graduated from Siena College with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology. He had worked for the Times Union in classified sales for a number of years and then had been a regional supervisor for ARC homes in Albany County. Paul’s next job was the voice of the CVS Road Samaritan where he helped stranded motorists and gave traffic reports on area radio stations including WGY. Paul retired from Triple A in Albany where he had been a dispatcher. Paul was a communicant of St. Henry’s Church in Averill Park and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his children Kelly (Tim) Leary of VA. Erin (Juan) Montana of MO, David Roe of CA, Sean (Jessica) Roe of NV, and Gretchen (Tobias Seamon) Ingersoll of Albany, his grandchildren Zephir and Wyatt Leary, Paloma Montana, and Owen Roe. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Thursday Jan. 2, 2014, 10 a.m. St. Henry’s Church 39 Old Rte. 66 Averill Park. If desired donations in memory of Paul S.
