Mary Agnes Pelletier

Averill Park-Mary Agnes “Micki” Pelletier, 83, of Averill Park passed away from a long illness on January 5, 2025 at Albany Medical Center. 

Born on May 3, 1941 in Troy NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. Brearton Sr. and Margaret Guerin Brearton. She is survived by her children, Jeffery (Nicci) Pelletier of Averill Park, and Nicole (Paul) Fiacco of Troy, as well as her grandchildren Lauren Pelletier, Marissa Fiacco, and Nino Fiacco. She spent many years with her ex-husband Raymond Pelletier, whose company she still enjoyed. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Frank J. Brearton Jr., and her sisters, Margaret Gaunay and Constance Murray. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

After her education in Troy schools, Micki was employed by Montgomery Wards in Menands for several years before she moved on to working as a clerk at the Rensselaer Public Defender's Office. She was also part owner of her and Raymond’s family business, Rose of Sharon Landscaping in Averill Park. 

Micki enjoyed spending her winter months in Barbados as well as at her villa in St. Lucia. Another one of her favorite destinations was Hilton Head, South Carolina. She also loved weekend and day trips to Foxwoods and the Saratoga Racino, where she liked to try her luck at the slots. Time with family was cherished by Micki as she would entertain in her home hosting birthdays, holidays, and more. She was proud of her Irish heritage and her Catholic religion, making rosaries in her free time.

 Friends and family are invited and may visit at St. Henry’s Church, 39 Old Rt 66, Averill Park on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with mass beginning soon after. Burial will immediately follow at St. Peters Cemetery in Troy. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Micki can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
