North Greenbush - Lillian M. Swartwout, 93, a longtime resident of Averill Park died on Monday October 28, 2013 at the Van Rensselaer Manor after a long illness. Born in Detroit Michigan, Lillian was the daughter of the late Harry W Green Sr. and Gertrude Chislom Green. Lillian worked at the former Faith Mills in Averill Park many years ago and then worked and retired from the Watervliet Arsenal where she had been a machinist. Lillian was a former member of the Sand Lake Seniors and the Church of the Covenant in Averill Park. Lillian was the sister of the late Harry W. Green, Irene Chriss, Hazel Lester and Violet Donahue. Survivors include her children Jan C. (Len Muhs) Swartwout of West Sand Lake and Kim R. Swartwout of Averill Park, her grandchildren Tami A. (Robert) Thibeault and Chad M. (Kelly) Fink her great grandchildren Skyler, Chance, Cheyanne and Konnor and her uncle William Mitzer Green of East Greenbush. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
