Kerri m gilboe

d. July 9, 2014

Averill Park-Kerri Maria Gilboe, our bright and shining star, 22, of Garner Road, passed away unexpectedly on July 9, 2014. She is survived by her parents Genie and Joe Borden of Averill Park and her father Billy Gilboe of Troy NY. Also surviving are her siblings Daniel Lynch of Feura Bush NY, Cheryl (Frank) Litterer of Gansevoort NY, Nick Borden of Seattle WA, Lee Borden of Troy NY, & Lindsey Driscoll of Dalton MA. Also, a niece, Hailey Litterer of Gansevoort NY, cousins Erin Maloney & Colleen Maloney of Troy, Aunt Peg & Uncle Tom Maloney of Troy, Aunt Anne Mahoney (&children) of Ballston Lake NY and Aunt Sue Austro (&children) of Charlton NY.
Kerri was born in Troy on May 8, 1992. She attended schools in Troy NY and Pittsfield MA, then moved to Averill Park schools when she started 9th grade. She graduated from Averill Park in 2010 having made many friends and had many good times even though she was the "New Girl" in a school where most had attended since kindergarten.  She was a recent graduate of Austin School of Spa Technology in Albany fulfilling a life long dream of becoming a stylist like her Aunt Anne.  She had worked at Hannaford in West Sand Lake, Subway in North Greenbush, PKS in Albany, Alexandria's in Latham and most recently at NYS Dept of Health in Albany.  She loved to sing and dance and that was highlighted by her performance of the lead roll in Cinderella at RPI (YAG) on her birthday weekend in 2008. She was a wonderful friend to many many people and would do anything she could to help friends or strangers. Her smile and laughter were infectious as anyone who knew her would tell you. We will miss you forever, Kerri, you were beautiful inside and out. Donations in Kerri's name can be made to Unity House in Troy.
