Petersburgh- Karen A. Slavin, 75, of Varville Road passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Hudson Shores Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a short illness. Born and raised in Troy, Karen was the daughter of the late James J. and Anna M. Buckley Snay Sr. and the beloved wife of Edwin Slavin. Karen was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and had resided in Petersburgh since 1988. She was an avid baker and loved to crochet.
Karen was the sister of the late James J. Snay Jr., Rhonda Garrison and Mary V. Snay.
Survivors in addition to her husband include her children Ryan (Amy) Kinnon, Brad (Andrea Kozel) Kinnon, Keith (Allison Drake) Slavin, Mark Slavin and Michael (Jennifer) Slavin, her sisters Patricia (Frank) Ferraro and Anna F. Snay her brother Christopher (Alicia)Snay along with 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be holding a celebration of life privately.
