Poestenkill- Judith M. Geise, 75, of Plank Road died on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at her residence after a year long illness. Born and raised in Troy, Judy was the daughter of the late Paul and Madeline Seymour Walz II and the wife of the late Francis L. Geise. Judy was a graduate of Catholic Central and earned her LPN certificate from Mary McClellan Hospital in Cambridge. Judy worked at the Troy area hospitals. She and Fran had resided in Eagle Mills before moving to Poestenkill in 1971. Judy went back to college in her 40’s and received an Associates degree in nursing and became a registered nurse. She worked for the Community Hospice for 20 years before her retirement. Judy enjoyed crafting, quilting, travel and was a history buff. She was a member of the home bureau and enjoyed her time spent at her South Long Pond camp in Grafton. Judy was the sister of the late Paul J. Walz III Survivors include her children Kristina (Michael) Geise Gordon of Brunswick and Eric (Micheline) Geise of Wynantskill, her grandchildren Kyle Gordon, Isadora, Gabriela and Lucas Nobre Geise. Judith’s family wishes to thank the Community Hospice for their help and to the aides that took care of Judy Donna, Sue, Mimi, Justine, Kate and Katharine. Relatives and friends are invited and may call 11:30 – 1:00 on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park followed by a service at 1 pm and burial in the Hillside Cemetery, Poestenkill.
