Poestenkill- Joseph Norman Cashman, 51, of Rte. 355, passed away peacefully on his birthday Friday, September 21, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital with his family at his side. Born in Lake City, Fla., Joe was the son of the late Norman and Stella Wooten Cashman. Joe worked for many years in the Housekeeping Dept. at St. Peter’s Hospital where he was head of the department. Joe was a social member at the Sullivan-Jones VFW Post in Poestenkill and he loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Joe loved and enjoyed his family including his son Alexander K. Cashman and his longtime companion Roxanne O’Brien both of Poestenkill, his brothers Alonzo Cashman of High Springs, Fla. and Robert Cashman of Hillsdale, NY along with many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are in invited to join Joe’s family for a Celebration of Joe’s Life 2 pm on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Sullivan – Jones VFW Post, 25 Veterans Street Poestenkill, NY 12140.
