Rev. Dr. James A. Harrison

Rev. Dr. James A. "Jim" Harrison, 94, of Lindsborg, KS passed away January 17th at Bethany Home in Lindsborg. Jim was born May 29, 1930 in Albany, New York to the late Russell and Mary (Gueldenapfel) Harrison. On September 19, 1959 he married Ingrid Hultgren in Poestenkill, NY.

Jim was ordained a Lutheran minister on November 20, 1955 in Poestenkill, New York by Rev. Dr. Frederick Knubel. For 69 years Jim served as a Lutheran minister leading many parishes in New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Ohio, and Kansas. He was the pastor at Freemount Lutheran Church for 14 years until his second retirement on April 11, 2013.

Jim is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ingrid Harrison; children Carl G. Harrison and Kristina E. (Jon) Laha; grandchildren Molly (Andrew Golden) Laha, Jennifer Laha, and Kaylee Laha; and great grandchild Wyatt James Golden. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son Kurt James Harrison.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Crick-Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg. Cremation will follow and memorial services will be held at a later date to be announced.

Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital.
