Jacqueline C. Tremont

Averill Park- Jacqueline C. Tremont, 73, of Sheer Road passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at her residence with her husband Brian at her side after a long illness. 

Born in Sand Lake and a lifelong resident, Jackie was the daughter of the late Kenneth J. and Dorothy Richards Tremont and beloved wife of Brian M. Bradley. Jackie was a 1969 graduate of the Averill Park High School and received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Maria College. She spent her career in the nursing field and had retired from the Lansingburgh School District where she had been the school nurse in the High School. Jacqueline had previously worked at Sterling Winthrop. 

Jackie was a Life Member of the Sand Lake Historical Society where she was a past president. She enjoyed the outdoors and was a member of the Adirondack Mountain Club. She enjoyed hiking and backpacking in the Adirondacks and Catskill Mountains, earning the Northville Lake Placid trail patch and the fire tower patch. She had almost achieved the 46er having done nearly 100 hikes in the mountains with only a handful of high peaks left before being physically limited. She was an avid snow skier at Jiminy Peak and traveled to Utah and British Columbia as well. 

Jackie enjoyed boating and some waterskiing, along with flower gardening. She would also work at the Schaghticoke Fair setting up exhibits and she was a lifelong communicant of St. Henrys Church.

Survivors in addition to her husband include her children Brett Williams and Jennie (Tom) Evans both of Wynantskill, her step children Allison Bradley of Albany, Kiersten (Scott) Kotronis of Wilmington, NY and Brian M. (Cassandra)Bradley Jr. of Charlotte, NC., her brother Kenneth E. Tremont of Averill Park and her grandchildren Arya and Hannah along with nieces and nephews.

Jackie was the sister of the late Dennis H. Tremont Sr.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call 4-6:30 on Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park. A service will follow at 6:30.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when her remains are returned from Albany Medical College where Jackie chose to be a donor, and a graveside service will be held at St. Henry’s Cemetery at that time.
