Sand Lake- Irene H. Mosher, 87, of Mosher Road died on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a brief illness. Born in Berlin, Irene was the daughter of Edward and Cleo Norcross Mosher. Irene was a lifelong resident of the area and many years ago helped running the family turkey farm. She had been a homemaker most of her life, was an avid hunter and gardener and was a lifelong member of the Zion’s UCC in Taborton. Irene was the sister of the late Viola M. Mosher and Allie “Pete” Mosher.
Survivors include her brother Clarence (Jean) Mosher of Pensacola, FL; her nieces Debra Jean Mosher-Larsen, Joyce Little and Donna Durham, her nephew William Mosher all of Pensacola and her longtime care giver and friend Darin Teal of Sand Lake. Irene’s family wishes to thank the ICU staff at Samaritan Hospital for the care given to Irene. Funeral Monday 11 a.m. at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral chapel on Monday 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment Taborton Cemetery. If desired donations in memory of Irene H.
