Holly K. Wheeler

Sand Lake- Holly K. Wheeler, 68, of Momrow Road, passed away on Tuesday October 1, 2024, at her residence after a long battle with illness. 

Born in Troy and raised in Waterford, Holly was the daughter of the late William R. and Mary E. (Fish) Jeavons and wife of the late Jeffrey Wheeler. Holly resided in Poestenkill for many years, where she raised her family and made many good friends. She moved to Cohoes after her daughters grew up and finally moved back to Sand Lake to live with her daughter and family. Holly was heavily involved in her daughters’ school events, sports, and activities while they were growing up. She also obtained her nursing degree from HVCC where she worked for most of her career before retiring earlier this year.

Holly did amazing quilts and enjoyed crafting. However, her family and friends were the most important to her. She was blessed to have such a good friend group who was always there for her, but specifically her longest friends, Debbie and Rick Lewis. She worked hard through her sickest times to take care of her daughters who were her world. She always tried to do good and never forgot to stop and smell the roses.

Holly was the sister of the late Michael Jeavons.

Survivors include her daughters, Hannah (Shawn) McCormick of East Greenbush and Molly (Zack) Winters of Sand Lake, her brother Timothy Jeavons of Colonie and her grandchildren Lily McCormick, Ryan Winters and Sadie Winters.
