 Averill Park- Edith L. Gundrum, 99, a longtime resident of Eastern Union Turnpike died on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Ludders Country Home in West Sand Lake after a short illness. Born in the Town of Nassau on August 18, 1918, Edie was the daughter of the late Walter N. and Charlotte E. Wagner Teal and wife of the late Harold Gundrum. Edie was a lifelong resident of the Averill Park area until moving to East Greenbush in 2011 and Ludders in 2016. She was a graduate of the Averill Park Schools and had retired in 1977 from NYNEX in Menands where she was a Supervisor in the Directory Dept. Edie was a member of the Church of the Covenant United Methodist in Averill Park, NYNEX Alumni, Pioneer Club and the Sand Lake Seniors.  She was a longtime bowler, having been a member of the Rocking Chair Bowling League at Bowling Green in East Greenbush. She spent many years enjoying her camp in the Adirondacks and was looking forward to her 100th birthday.
Survivors include her devoted family, her son Edward H. (Joan) Gundrum of Minerva, NY, her grandchildren Jennifer (Guy) Yost of East Greenbush, Melissa (Timothy) Risley and Edward H. (Lisa) Gundrum Jr. both of Peachtree City, GA., her great grandchildren, Nicholas (Veronica) and Maxwell Yost, Sarah (Christopher) O’Shea and Grace Gundrum and her great great grandchildren Guy and Henry Yost and Charles O’Shea.
Funeral 11 a.m. Friday June 29 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park, NY
Relatives and friends are invited and may call 9-11 a.m. Friday June 29 at the funeral chapel prior to the service.
Interment in the Sand Lake Union Cemetery.
