Sand Lake- Donald T. Edmans Sr., 88, of Schumann Road died on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Castleton after a short illness. Born in Troy and raised in Watervliet, Don was the son of the late Howard and Clara Fluhr Edmans and the husband of Marilyn McClellan Edmans. Don had resided in Sand Lake since 1949, had served in the NY National Guard and had a lifelong career in the banking industry. He had retired from the Bank of America in Albany where he was a Vice President of Personnel. Don had been a member of the American Institute of Banking.
Don was the brother of the late Paul Edmans.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his children Donald Jr., Marcia, Karen, Daniel, Andrew and Jonathan Edmans, Julia Turner and Kathryn Tofte along with several grandchildren.
Services private at the convenience of the family.
