Daniel N. Malcolm

Poestenkill- Daniel N. Malcolm, 70, of Vosburgh Road died on Saturday, July 18, 2015, after a long illness. Born in Troy, Daniel was the son of Charlotte Esa DeAugostino of Tacoma, Wash., and the late Clarence Malcolm. Daniel was a lifelong resident of Poestenkill and attended the Averill Park Schools. Daniel had worked for Asbestos Containment in Watervliet where he had been an asbestos remover. Daniel enjoyed motorcycles, antique cars, car shows, swap meets, hunting, fishing and trapping. Survivors in addition to his mother, include his wife, Barbara Greene Malcolm; his children, James Malcolm of Stephentown, Suzanne (Russell) Ware of Sand Lake and Danyle Malcolm of Averill Park; his grandchildren, Shannon M. and Jennifer F. Malcolm, Nicholas and Harold Malcolm and Daniel Malcolm; great granddaughter Isabella Anselmen and his stepfather, Augstino DeAugostino. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel, 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park, on Thursday, July 23, 2015, from 4-7 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. If desired, the family requests donations in memory of Daniel N.
