Charles W. Plunkett Jr.

Averill Park- Charles W. Plunkett Jr., 66, of Rte. 43, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at the Albany Medical Center Hospital after a long illness. 

Born in Troy, Chuck was the son of the late Charles W. and Irene Kelly Plunkett and the husband of the late Arlene Schillinger Plunkett, his high school sweetheart. Chuck grew up in Troy and West Sand Lake and was a 1975 graduate of the Averill Park High School. He had a long career as a merchandiser first with the former Fitzgerald Bros. and then the Frito Lay Company where he retired from in 2019. Chuck enjoyed cars, music, camping and being with friends and family. Chuck was the brother of the late Diana Plunkett.

Survivors include his sons Kyle W. Plunkett of Averill Park and Keith M. (Nicole) Plunkett of Guilderland, his sister Marcy (Tom) Wray of Phoenix, AZ and Kris (Bobby) Colebank of Corpus Christi, TX, his brother Jay (Bobbi) Plunkett of Prineville, OR., his grandchildren Liam and Owen Plunkett and his other grandson Mark Goca.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call 4-6:30 on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the Perry- Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park followed by a service at 6:30.

Burial will be private at the Hillside Cemetery, West Stephentown.
