Sand Lake- Bryan L. Southard, 76, of Kipple Road passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024 in the comfort of his recliner at his home with family at his side. Born in Troy, Bryan was the son of the late Harold ‘Cobb” and Evelyn Momrow Southard and husband of Sally L. Gritman Southard who died on September 12, 2024.
Bryan was a lifelong resident of Sand Lake, attended the Averill Park Schools and was a lifelong member of the Zion’s UCC in Taborton.
Bryan spent most of his career at the NYS DOT in Defreestville where he was a driver and worked on the bridge crew. He retired in 2001. He was a member of the Bailey Mountain Fish and Game Club, the NRA, enjoyed hunting and four wheeling.
Survivors include his sons Bryan H. (Karen) Southard of Niverville, Scott M. (Tammy) Southard of Stephentown and Charles (Brian) Saville of Schenectady, his brother Mark H. (Marj) Southard of Sand Lake his sister Linda (Thomas) Dygert of Guilderland, his grandchildren Scott Jr. (Cassandra) and Joshua (Ashley) and his great grandchildren Haleigh,Lilly, Scott III “Mikey” along with several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call 4-6:30 on Tuesday November 26, 2024 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake Averill Park followed by a service.
