Bruce A. Fleming Sr.

Averill Park- Bruce A. Fleming Sr., 70, of Greenman Hill Road, Town of Nassau, passed away peacefully with his family at his side, at the Albany Medical Center Hospital after a short illness on Monday, March 24, 2025. Born in Troy, Bruce was the son of the late Howard F. Fleming and Jean E. Robertson Fleming and the beloved husband of Diane Powell Fleming.

Bruce was a lifelong resident of the area and was a 1974 graduate of the Averill Park High School. Most of his working career was spent with Local 106 IUOE in Glenmont where he was a crane operator. He had retired in 2015. He had also previously worked at the Matton Shipyard and Springer Welding where he was a welder. Bruce enjoyed restoring cars, hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. In recent years Bruce and Diane would spend the winter months in Fort Pierce, Florida. Bruce was a longtime member of the West Stephentown Baptist Church.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his children Brenda (Kris) Vermilya of East Greenbush, Shane Fleming, Bruce (Elena) Fleming Jr., and Matthew (Samantha) Fleming all of Averill Park, his sisters Linda (Robert) Vander Bogart of Hurtville, MO and Judith (Jeff) Reynolds of Greenville, TN, his brothers David (Joann) Fleming of Troy, Michael (Pamela) Fleming of Rogersville, TN, Terry (Patricia) Fleming and Scott (Debbie) Fleming both of Averill Park, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Bruce was the brother of the late Thomas P. (Patricia) Fleming Sr.

Relatives and friends are invited and may visit with Bruce’s family 10-12 on Saturday March 29, 2025 at the West Stephentown Baptist Church 1672 NY 43 West Stephentown, NY followed by a Service at 12 noon

Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, West Stephentown.
