Averill Park- Arnold H. Gundrum, 73, of Rte. 66, Town of Nassau, died on Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Albany Medical Center after a short illness. Born and raised in Troy Arnold was the son of the late Walter H. and Ada Milhizer Gundrum. Arnold grew up on Thomas St in Troy and was a graduate of Troy High. Arnold served in the Navy during the Vietnam Era (1965 – 1968). After his service to his country Arnold resided in Phoenix, AZ for 5 years before moving to Averill Park in 1973. Arnold had been a union carpenter for a number of years before working in the housekeeping department at the Evergreen Commons Nursing Home in East Greenbush. Arnold was a member of the Sgt. Walter Adams American Legion Post in Averill Park.
Arnold was the brother of the late Elwood R. Gundrum.
Survivors include his wife Audrey Thomas Gundrum of Averill Park, his son Scott Gundrum of Averill Park, his daughters Patricia (Chris) Malloy of Colonie, Jennifer Gundrum of Troy and Debbie Gundrum of Rotterdam, his sister Mary (Ross) French and his grandchildren Scotty Jr., Austin Jones and Julia Mosher.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 3-5 p.m. the West Stephentown Baptist Church 1672 NY 43 West Stephentown on Sunday, May 7, followed by a service at 5 p.m.
Interment 1 p.m. Monday, May 8, at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga Cemetery 200 Duell Rd. Schuylerville, NY.
